How many new friends did you make in your first year at uni? Did you find it hard to talk to new people?

/ A

I don’t know what constitutes a lot of friends anymore, since I don’t really have that many and I don’t care for having lots! But when I started a did make a few friends! I also had the luck to be in the same course with the same classes with my good buddy Chris Drinkwater, for at least the first few months of uni anyway. I met my first friend while I was having a cigarette on the tafe campus (where my lectures are held), and that led to a few more good friends. Another good friend of mine happened to be travelling with Max, and recognised me. We’ve sort of stuck together the most out of everyone. Then my friends twin brother had a few classes with me, and I worked with a lot of people at QCA prior to attending it. Sophie, my best friend is also a photography student there, which led to more friends, and my good friends Ben and AB are also film students there.

To be honest though, I don’t really like having friends in all my classes, because you tend not to concentrate so much and I am deeply interested in what I study so prefer to be undistracted. I am lucky that my only other friend is as interested in it as I am!!
