Have you ever thought about using your own illustrations for your design?

I have often thought about it but I find that’s about as far as I get. I answered a very similar question to this not long ago, which you can read here. It pretty much explains it all!

Truth be told though I think illustration and design are two very different industries that can be easily formed into one project. But studying design and learning about margins/type/maths is very different to studying illustration and learning drawing/technique/materials. They are different industries that require a vast span of knowledge to be part of the best! I love both and will probably keep the job title “illustrator/designer” since I’m actually working on two illustration jobs right now… ; )
